I personally didn’t really mind the music in the trailer, but if others hated it, to each their own. However, the trailer’s only been out for about a day and I’m already tired of comments saying how it’s shit and is going to suck. Have you seen the movie already? If you have, please inform me so I can see it for myself. Otherwise, I would like to kindly advise everyone to reserve judgments until they’ve seen it.
The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books ever, I have read it multiple, multiple times. If anyone’s going to be hyper-critical of this, I am. So (besides the music), what is so dastardly about this trailer? I see dialogue taken straight from the book, symbols and color schemes represented, great looking sets and costumes, and the acting will most likely be top notch. The brief look we got at the valley of ashes looks completely juxtaposed to the glamour of Gatsby and his over-top lifestyle, which is how it’s supposed to look. The heavy stylized nature of the film could definitely work in it’s favor.
So, the bottom line is the trailer wasn’t bad, people need to stop judging, and I’m tired of all the non-stop complaining (unless people could give me legitimate complaints, I’d be willing to listen)
